Aquavit’s take on authentic Nordic-inspired cuisine with a contemporary twist honours high-quality, fresh, seasonal ingredients. Developed by Executive Chef Henrik Ritzén, the menu celebrates the Nordic region’s traditional seafood and meat dishes as well as the art of pastry and breadmaking.
Celebrated Nordic designers in a welcoming, informal environment. Overseen by the design studio of Swedish-born Martin Brudnizki.
Notable designs are silverware from Georg Jensen, wall-mounted textile designed by Olafur Eliasson, furnishings by Svensk Tenn as well as the stunning uniforms by Ida Sjöstedt.
Back In November 1987 Restaurant Aquavit opened to immediate success in midtown Manhattan and more than two decades later continues to be one of New York’s most popular and highly esteemed dining destinations.
Aquavit represents Modern Nordic Cuisine, crafted and honed by two-times Michelin starred Chef, Emma Bengtsson.
